About us
Cleantech is the Division of Fayat Group leader in the Sector of Road and Indoor Cleaning. The 4 plants in Europe of Ravo (Netherland), Mathieu (France), Scarab (UK) and Dulevo (Italy) design, produce, distribute and service road and indoor sweepers, with a WW sales footprint and a subsidiary plant in Pune (India).
Our offer
The buyers of the purchasing organization of Cleantech are sitting in all the 4 European plants; 2 years ago Cleantech started a project to gradually switch from an approach locally plant based to the current global commodity based, and now has 4 commodity managers, 7 global buyers and 6 local buyers.
Cleantech needs to replace the current Purchasing Director, who reports to the Chief Purchasing Officer, who represents Cleantech Purchasing in the Board of the Division managing the commodity managers and the buyers' community.
RESPONSABILITY
- SUPPLY BASE
- Focus on the development of the supply base as per the criteria of Sustainability, service level, quality level and design to cost
- Ensure the balance between the local needs and the commodity logics
- Establish the best place to buy each of the categories, the ideal suppliers' footprint and number by commodity, and work with the commodity managers to make a plan to reach the goal and execute it
- BUDGET
- Manage a total annual purchased value of 170 M€ through the commodity managers whom the buyers report to; this represents in percentage 60% of the revenues with consequent high impact to the P&L and Cash of the Division
- Achieve the cost targets as per budget, both for the current business and for the new models to be launched
- ORGANIZATION AND GOVERNANCE
- Manage the further evolution of the organization focusing on the change management process of the entire team
- Agree and follow the overall strategic directions of Cleantech purchasing given by the CPO, mainly based on the organization evolution, the Governance, the business processes and the tools to be developed
- Promote a team based approach
- Cooperate with the Fayat Group buyers community for further synergies, representing Cleantech in the Joint Purchasing Committee of FRED (Fayat Road Equipment Division)
- Interact with the other Functions directly or indirectly, in particular with Supplier Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sustainability, Finance
- Control, support or drive, case by case, the main negotiations
- Report on a monthly base the direct material cost evolution to the Board
About you
COMPETENCES AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience of managing a multisite/multicultural purchasing organization with a similar complexity and a consolidated approach by commodity in a similar Sector
- Team spirit and team player approach
- Resilient to accept imperfection given by the evolutionary approach of the team and the rest of Cleantech Functions, based on the current transient phase of cross plant integration
- Fluent in English is mandatory, while Italian, French and/or Dutch are also welcome
- Availability to frequently travel in business trips mainly in the 4 plants in Europe
- Master degree in Science, engineering or Economics is considered as a value addition
- Negotiation and communication skills
