The scope of the role:

As Manager Engineering, you'll take charge of the development and evolution of RAVO's Maxi Compact Vacuum line, an industry-leading product manufactured in Alkmaar. You'll oversee an ambitious roadmap, leading projects that range from groundbreaking innovations to optimizing current designs. You'll guide your team and the organization through transitions, ensuring alignment with both local objectives and Cleantech's global vision.

Managing a diverse team of engineers and developers, you'll ensure the department remains a hub of expertise and creativity. Your leadership will extend beyond the local team, as you collaborate with R&D departments from sister companies and align with the Cleantech CTO to execute a global vision. You represent the engineering team in the RAVO Management Team and manage the R&D budget in close co-operation with the General Manager of RAVO and CTO of CLEANTECH.

Your work will be pivotal to ensuring that RAVO's solutions meet market demands, maintain production feasibility, and align with cost expectations. From strategy to execution, you'll be at the forefront of clean tech innovation.

Concretely

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the mid- and long-term R&D plan for the Maxi Compact Vacuum line.
• Change Management: Lead the integration of new processes, tools, and organizational structures into the R&D team while minimizing disruption and maximizing efficiency.
• Team Management: Guide the New Product Development, Current Product Maintenance, and Competence Center teams while fostering growth and collaboration.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Production to align new product designs with market and production needs.
• Process Optimization: Lead the integration of R&D processes into the Cleantech framework, ensuring tools and systems are effective and efficient.
• Competency Building: Define and evolve core skills and capabilities, ensuring the team is future-ready and equipped to tackle strategic challenges.

• A bachelor's and/or master's degree in a relevant technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Significant experience in R&D leadership, ideally within engineering or clean technology
• Expertise in managing change, with a track record of successfully integrating new processes or frameworks
• Strong ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
