Job Description: General Manager - Fayat Engineering Centre

Role Overview

The General Manager of the Fayat Engineering Centre (Fayatec) will lead the strategic, operational, and developmental activities at Fayatec. Fayatec functions as a shared FRED Centre that aims at delivering cost-effective, innovative, and high-quality engineering solutions to address global product development support to all FRED Companies. This role requires a dynamic individual with good customer orientation and a proven track record in general management, operational excellence, change acceleration, and team competence development. The role demands exceptional strategic thinking, financial acumen, and a commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and value engineering.

• Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Fayatec aligned with the objectives of the Fayat Road Equipment Division.
• Define and execute strategic plans to position the Fayatec as a global hub for innovation, cost efficiency, and engineering excellence.
• Inspire and lead diverse teams with a focus on competence development, collaboration, and trust-building.

• Implement best practices in engineering and digital transformation to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee resource planning and allocation to ensure timely delivery of projects at optimal cost.
• Foster a results-oriented mindset by challenging the status quo with value engineering and innovative approaches
• Seamless collaboration with the (individual) processes/ standards of FRED companies, share bast practices among group companies
• Establish robust processes to address dynamic business demands effectively.

• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation.
• Promote collaboration and trust among global teams and stakeholders.

• Lead initiatives to drive organizational setup, transformation, and cultural integration.
• Promote digital transformation and best practices.

• Oversee budget planning, cost estimation, and financial performance Fayatec.

• Act as the key liaison between the Fayatec and the other Fayat Road Equipment Division Companies
• Identify and secure engineering projects from other Fayat Road Equipment Division (FRED) companies and the other business under Fayat Group.
• Engage stakeholders effectively to ensure smooth transitions and sustained improvements.

• Safeguard that Dynapac Code of Conduct is fully applied and understood in Dynapac India and that other units conduct an ethical way of doing business.
• Safeguard integrity and transparency of operations and of the legal structure, by making sure that financial guidelines are understood and applied.
• Interact with Dynapac and Fayat Group Business Units and companies in a constructive and productive way to support the development of synergies.

• Proven track record in general management, operational excellence, and change management.
• Leadership experience in engineering, R&D, or digital transformation, preferably within a global setup.

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent organizational setup and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of finance, budgeting, and cost management.
• Expertise in value engineering and operational optimization.
• Effective collaboration, trust-building, and stakeholder management skills.

• Adaptability and a growth mindset with a passion for learning.
• Critical thinking and clear communication abilities.
• Interest in digital transformation, engineering, and general management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Technology (B.Tech) in Engineering or related fields is mandatory. Advanced degrees (e.g., M.Tech) will be an added advantage.
