Our current Plant & Engineering Manager, Mathias Kayser, is transitioning to a dedicated plant leadership role focused on site operations. As he has been covering Design & Development (D&D) responsibilities on an interim basis, we are now re-establishing the Engineering Manager position as a full-time role to provide dedicated leadership and support our continued growth and innovation.
As Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop the local engineering team, with team leaders reporting directly to you. The D&D department in Wardenburg is responsible for the global development of Pavers and Feeders, while also supporting engineering teams in China and India and collaborating closely with FAYATEC in India & China. The role reports directly to the VP Operations & Engineering.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and inspire the Engineering organization, fostering a high-performing and innovative team culture.
- Drive the development and lifecycle management of the global paver and feeder product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market needs, quality standards, cost targets, and time-to-market objectives.
- Manage and monitor local and global development projects incl. status presentation and continuous improvement of NPD process
- Cross-functional collaboration with all departments and international Dynapac & FRED organizations to enhance product performance, manufacturing efficiency, standardization, modularization and business results.
- Drive innovation and shape the long-term product and technology roadmap by advancing digitalization, automation, electrification, sustainable solutions, and emerging technologies to ensure future competitiveness and growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee intellectual property management, including patents and CE conformity co-signature.
- Safequard having an up-to-date PDM/CAD system and if required willing to synchronize within global Dynapac & FRED
About you
Experience Requirements & Knowledge
- University degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
- Several years of leadership experience in engineering and product development within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex development projects.
- Strong knowledge of product development and industrialization processes, including lifecycle management and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Experience in mobile machinery or related industries (e.g., construction, agricultural, or commercial vehicles) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies, including digitalization, automation, and electrification.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills in an international matrix organization.
- Fluency in English and German, with strong communication and leadership capabilities.
